"In applying for membership in the Texas Public Relations Association (TPRA), I affirm that all of the information I have provided in this application is accurate and current. If accepted as a member of TPRA, I will abide by the organization's Code of Ethics and do my part to uphold and promote the public relations profession."
Member Categories:
- Active: Persons who devote all or substantially all of their time to the practice of public relations
- New Professional: Persons who are entering the public relations professions during the first twocalendar years following college graduation
- Academic-Faculty: Persons currently teaching public relations courses in accredited Texascolleges or universities
- Academic-Student: Persons currently enrolled (either full or part-time) in a four-year Texascollege or university and working toward a degree in public relations, journalism or
- communications
- Military: Persons currently on active duty and who devote all or substantially all of their time tothe practice of public relations
- Retired: Persons who have maintained active membership in the association at least fiveconsecutive years and who are engaged in the practice of public relations less than half-time
- Affiliate: Individuals who provide a service to public relations professionals but who are notthemselves engaged in the full-time practice or teaching of public relations
