The Public Relations Foundation of Texas is a nonprofit subsidiary organization of TPRA founded in 1979. Its primary mission is to support public relations education in Texas. 2010 PRFT | Joe Riordan Scholarship - apply today The PRFT | Joe Riordan Scholarship pays $125 for the registration fee (includes lunch and a ticket to the gala) for the 2010 TPRA Leadership Day & Gala scheduled for March 5, 2010 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Austin, TX Students must be enrolled in a Texas school of higher education and taking communication courses. As a recipient of the Joe Riordan scholarship, students will also be asked to volunteer their time during the Leadership Day & Gala to assist the TPRA conference committee. Ten scholarships will be given to the first 10 students to submit an application. Deadline to apply is February 16, 2010. Apply here. ...getting the word out about the 2010 Texas PR Leadership Day and Gala on March 5 in Austin. They are members of Texas State University profession Dara Quackenbush’s senior PR campaigns class. They are leading the efforts in communications by leveraging our two social media platforms – our blog, Communicators Connexion and Twitter. BRETT CANNON is a Public Relations senior at Texas State University in San Marcos, where he plans to graduate in December. Brett is the owner of Paper Thin Media, a boutique entertainment PR firm specializing in music and film publicity. After graduation he plans on focusing all of his attention on growing his company. CHELSEA COVER is a senior at Texas State University-San Marcos where she is studying Mass Communications with a focus in Public Relations and minor in business.
